Charter Change - For better? Or for Worse?

Charter change is the focus of politics right now and people are affected whether they be interested or not. What is charter change?  Charter change is the amendment or revision of the Constitution. Now, there is no problem with charter change. The problem comes in when some politicians are opting for charter change but without disclosing their purpose or what particular part of the constitution they are intending to change. Something fishy isn't it?

Many say that the charter change is being forwarded to extend the term of the Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. A stint that no one is laughing about. The Philippines has been damaged a lot during her administration. Arroyo is boasting of figures. She is saying that the Philippines improved by showing numbers. But progress is not in numbers alone. Many people actually felt the economy went down. And their living conditions are drooping like ice cream under the sun.

Charter change should not even be a topic. It is not what the Philippines need. Every act in the congress involves (or is a waste) of considerable amount of money. Don't the politicians ever knew of the hierarchy of needs?  What people need now is the basic necessity- food! Politicians do not consider this as their priority since they have taxes to spend. Our taxes! It is a shame that we elect hem to serve the people when all they do is serve themselves.

We need change, that is definite! With the constitution? I guess not! Kailangan lang natin sunugin ang mga trapo sa gobyerno.
