Manny Pacquiao vs. Oscar De la Hoya

The much awaited fight between Pacquiao and De la Hoya is almost at hand. The whole world is in anticipation of the excitement such boxing match will generate. We have proven in this fight that it is not only in politics that there are issues. The first issue that this fight faced was with the famous boxing organization. Nobody really felt how much impact such controversy generated that it died down almost instantly. Maybe it is because all the people want is to see the fight and issues such as this are easily overlooked since it can be seen as one that is only there for the ride.

The question now is "Is it really wise for the boxing world to match this two legends in a controversial fight?". Some people say this match up is simply made for the money, that it is not really a matter of "sport" but a matter of "bucks". Indeed fights like this are one of the most income generating events in the least amount of time. Dose it matter if really this was set up for the revenue? Other people say that this match is made fot the people. To see who really is the best fighter.

Notwithstanding all controversies, it is still the most anticipated event of 2008. No matter what is said, or what is done, or will be done, a good fight is still a good fight. Whoever wins this battle, whether it be Manny or Oscar, the pockets of capitalists, advertisers, etc. What matters is the people in general won. That they got what they want and asked for. Entertainment no matter how shown or done is still entertainment. Good luck to both fighters... Be it the Mexican of the Filipino, we want a good clean fight. Can't wait for round 1.
