Kaamulan Festival, Malaybalay, Bukidnon, Philippines

The Kaamulan Festival is a Festival celebrated every first week of March in Malaybalay, Bukidnon, south of the Philippines. During this event, streets of Malaybalay is covered with the traditional and tribal fiesta theme. Banners, banderitas and beer are all over, as well as smiles, elation and non- stop native music. An early morning "pamuhat" ritual kick starts the festival followed by an ethnic food fest, trade fairs and traditional Bukidnon dancing.
 

Panagbenga Festival - Baguio City, Philippines

The Panagbenga festival, which translates in English as flower festival is the grandest and most colorful event in the Philippines. It usually starts before the end of the year and like a flower, it blooms in February of every year. During these times, many tourists flock the City of Pines to witness the event and the coolness of the city because incidentally, during these times are when Baguio City is at its coldest.

The highlights of the Festival are the street dancing parade, where students from different schools perform their long- practiced routine along session road in the awe of many expectators. The participants are dressed in colors- combining the beautiful flowers of the city with their natural grace and beauty. Another crowd drawer is the float parade. Many floats are showcased covered in nothing but flowers- showcasing the diversity of floral species in Baguio City as well as the creativity and resourcefullness of its people. A thousand picture perfect moments. The Panagbenga festival is never complete without giving the spotlight to its famous street- the Session Road, thus, the Session Road in Bloom. During the Session Road in Bloom, the famous Session Road is closed to traffic and is filled with booths and stalls showcasing products, services, and the culture of Baguio City and The Philippines. During this event, so many people are in Session Road that walking in full- steps is not possible. Peolple never get tired going up and down Seeion Road because the surprises never stop.

 

Higantes Festival - Angono, Rizal, Philippines

Angono, Rizal's famous parade of the giants held on the 3rd week of November. The Higante's festival, Angono's colorful and grand fiesta in honor of San Clemete whose image, effulgent in papal image, is borne by male devotees during a procession accompanied by "parehadoras" (devotees dressed in colorful costumes, wooden shoes and carrying boat paddles and "higantes" giant paper effigies). The street event starts in a procession in Laguna de Bay that continues until the image is brought back to its home.
